Today I’m publishing an industry research piece from SEO AGENCY 10xSEO. We regularly collaborate with SEO professionals across markets to share insights and real data.
A country where shawarma is more popular than khinkali, and where “Mother’s Prayer” is searched more frequently than many government services – this is the digital portrait of Georgia in 2025. To uncover what is really happening behind the screens, the 10xSEO team filtered through the 30,000 most-searched keywords in Georgia, using data provided by Ahrefs.
Our goal wasn’t just to present dry statistics, but to understand how digital platforms have transformed our daily lives, priorities, and psychology. This analysis reveals the role the internet plays in our lives, ranging from mundane problems to the paradoxical interests that most accurately describe the public mood.
Search Leaders: How Does a Georgian User’s Day Begin?
Digital daily life starts quite pragmatically: Google Translate and Weather (Amindi) top the searches. However, as soon as it comes to entertainment, the numbers shift radically. Gambling platforms are the undisputed giants of the market – “Betlive” (1.2 million searches) and “Adjarabet” (1.1 million) attract more users than any news or government website.
The picture becomes even more striking if we look closely at the Top 20. Following gambling, “Pornhub” (687,000) holds a leading position, confirming once again that gambling and adult platforms are the most popular destinations in the Georgian internet space.
Generally, daily interests are most often linked to the weather (Amindi.ge), cars (MyAuto.ge), and movies (Adjaranet). Interestingly, despite the existence of paid streaming platforms, Georgian users remain loyal to local sites, likely driven by the desire for free content.
Religion vs. Pornography: The Two Poles of the Georgian Web
The most fascinating aspect of the 10xSEO study is the unexpected contrasts found behind the numbers. For instance, on the gastronomic front, “Shawarma” was searched more often than “Khinkali” in 2025. It appears that fast food has recently taken priority over traditional cuisine for internet users.
Another interesting reality is the diversity of interests. The search bar holds everything that is part of a person’s daily life: alongside the massive popularity of adult content (Pornhub – 687,000), “Mother’s Prayer” (31,000) remains one of the most frequent keywords. These figures confirm that the Georgian user’s digital agenda is never one-dimensional.
Amidst all this, perhaps the most curious phenomenon is the letter “ყ” (the Georgian letter for ‘k’ or ‘q’). On average, 19,000 people per month search for just this single letter. The likely explanation is simple: many users want to access YouTube, but because they have the Georgian keyboard toggled on, they only manage to type the first letter “ყ” (which corresponds to the key for “Y”) before hitting enter or selecting a suggestion.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia: The Undisputed Leader of Personal Ratings
The Georgian internet space has one main hero: Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. The numbers here exceed all expectations: “Kvara/Khvicha” is the absolute record-breaker with over 112,000 searches. He is the only person whose interest in Georgia overshadows even global figures known in every corner of the world.
Statistics show that for the Georgian user in 2025, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was the primary object of interest:
- Khvicha is searched 6 times more often than Donald Trump (17,250);
- Search interest for him is nearly 8 times higher than for Leo Messi (14,900) and 11 times higher than for Cristiano Ronaldo (9,750).
However, the most interesting contrast is political: Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s name is typed into Google 16 times more often than “Irakli Kobakhidze” (7,200), while “Putin” (2,450) is almost invisible in the Georgian search field.
From Loans to Smartphones: Georgian Commercial Priorities
From a commercial perspective, Georgian user interests are divided into two radically different directions: technological progress and financial obligations.
In the 2025 tech market, the main player is the “iPhone 17.” It is the most in-demand item of the year, topping commercial keywords with over 28,000 searches. This fever is directly reflected in electronics stores, where Zoommer (90,350 searches) maintains an undisputed lead, followed at a significant distance by Elit (34,400) and Alta (27,850).
Parallel to this tech boom, reality remains pragmatic: the word “Loan” (Seskhi) in its various forms (fast, online, or installment) is one of the most frequent keywords. If the iPhone 17 is the year’s main “want,” a loan is the financial tool Georgians use to address that and other needs.
200 People and One Question: Does Free Money Exist?
Analysis reveals a slightly naive reality – about 200 people a month search for the answer to: “How to make money by watching ads?” This indicates that a segment of society is still looking for “easy” passive income.
Market Shares: Pharmacies and Delivery Services
In the digital space, there are segments where it is almost impossible to distinguish a dominant brand. According to 10xSEO data, the fiercest competition is in the pharmaceutical sector, where Aversi (34,000 searches) and PSP (33,000 searches) are neck and neck. In contrast, GPC (2,400 searches) occupies a much humbler spot.
A similar picture emerges in delivery services. Glovo and Wolt split the market with absolute precision, each garnering 17,000 searches. This mathematical coincidence suggests that for the Georgian consumer, these two platforms are of identical importance, and the choice is often based on a specific minute’s discount rather than brand loyalty.
The War of the Soaps: Why Georgia Won’t Give Up Turkish Content
Entertainment priorities remained specific in 2025. In search statistics, Turkish TV series are still the absolute favorites – with a total of 208,500 searches, this genre outpaces any other.
Turkish dramas are rivaled by international hits like Squid Game (over 106,500 searches). Beyond the series, a large portion of the search field is occupied by Anime culture. “Naruto” and “One Piece” are keywords searched by tens of thousands, indicating the growing influence of this genre. In the movie section, historical dramas maintain stable demand – for example, the enduring popularity of “Gladiator” proves that new premieres often lead viewers back to the classics.
The Era of ChatGPT and Traditional Media
The digital portrait of 2025 is unimaginable without Artificial Intelligence. Among AI platforms in the Georgian internet space, ChatGPT is the absolute leader – accounting for 66% of searches in this segment.
However, when it comes to TV content, the rankings by channel are as follows:
- Imedi – 221,500 searches;
- 1st Channel (1tv) – 64,150 searches;
- Rustavi 2 – 45,600 searches;
- TV Pirveli – 40,650 searches.
This suggests that while users rely on AI for information filtering and technical tasks, traditional TV platforms remain the primary source for news and entertainment.
Georgia Through the Eyes of Google: A Summary
The analysis of 30,000 keywords shows that Georgia in 2025 is a land of amazing contrasts. Through Google’s eyes, we are a people who ask ChatGPT for future predictions, yet spend our evenings lost in the endless intrigues of Turkish dramas.
Our digital portrait is somewhat paradoxical: with one hand, we count the camera pixels of an iPhone 17, and with the other, we search for the optimal fast loan to bring that dream a little closer. In the midst of this daily hustle, these searches feel more like a “cognitive dissonance” than dry statistics. In the same search bar, the euphoria of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s global recognition and the hope of making “free money” by watching ads coexist as if Google’s algorithm mastered the Georgian national character long ago.
